Fresh off of their drubbing of Albia, undefeated Pella Christian returns to the 1A ranks to begin the district race against Des Moines Christian this evening.
The high-octane Eagles are facing the Lions for the first time since 2013, and have lost two of the last three in their series. Head Coach Rich Kacmarynski says they’ll be keying in on QB Nathan Herbers, who has accounted for more than 75 percent of the Lions’ offensive plays from scrimmage.
Des Moines Christian is 1-1 following a week one loss to Panorama and a blowout victory over Guthrie Center last week.
