Eagles’ volleyball players will likely get a taste of what to expect in the Class 2A playoffs later this fall when they travel to Eddyville for a non-conference matchup tonight.
Pella Christian will attempt to the beat the No. 15 Rockets–a team that has ended the Eagles’ season four straight years, for the first time since 2011.
Head Coach John Evenhouse says the block will have to improve against the Rocket offense, especially with a match against rival Pella looming large next week.
“We’re really going to work on our blocking,” he says. “We just have to be sharper with that, because I don’t know how good Eddyville is this year, but we’ve seen Pella, and they will hit the stinkin’ ball.”
