The defending regular season Little Hawkeye Conference champions and their big hitters kept the Pella Christian volleyball team off balance last night.
Norwalk defeated Pella Christian in four sets (22-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-21).
Head Coach John Evenhouse says Norwalk made key tweaks after the first set, and the Eagles were unable to counter.
“They moved their left-side hitter to the right side, and their right-side hitter to the left side,” he says. “And they also started hitting a lot of soft shots and tips and stuff like that, and we just did not adjust.”
Maddie Zula had 13 kills, and Natalie Vos had seven to go along with one solo block and three assisted.
Pella Christian is now 6-7 and is off until Saturday’s North Mahaska tournament in New Sharon.
