Staff at Pella Regional Health Center are reminding the public on the differences between emergency care and other services.
Carla Chow with Pella Regional says there’s a wide range of symptoms they are trained to provide in the E.R., including shortness of breath, chest pain, sharp abdominal pain, passing out, fainting, confusion, and others.
She says for other issues, Pella Regional has other services to help, including the 24/7 nurseline and after hours at the Pella Medical clinic until 7 p.m. on weekdays. Chow says using those programs and having an understanding of when to use them will help the emergency department get help to those who need it the most.
