The longest-active football winning streak in the state continues after another big third quarter gave Pella space in their 35-3 win over Bondurant-Farrar, as heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
Bondurant struck first after a fake punt got them in position for a field goal in the opening quarter, but two touchdowns in the 2nd and three scores in the 3rd quarter gave Pella the blowout distance.
Despite attempts at misdirection, the Mean Green D was constantly in the Bluejays backfield, limiting them to 111 yards of total offense and three yards passing.
Defensive Coordinator Roger DeWaard told KNIA/KRLS Sports after the game Bondurant attempted a few unexpected tricks, but the lockdown Pella defense made enough tweaks to prevent any momentum from forming.
They have yet to give up a touchdown on defense in 2016. Pella is 3-0 and returns home to take on district foe Carlisle next week.
