Trojan runners for the Pleasantville Cross Country team had a strong showing in a meet at Pekin last night in a field that included Albia, Colfax-Mingo, Southeast Waren, Twin Cedars and the host Dragons.
The girls squad would place second overall in the meet, topped by a 9th place finish by Mel Johnson followed up by Taylor Clark who finished in 12th place. On the boys side, who are still looking for a consistent top five scorers, were paced by Josh Pulse who placed 7th overall at the meet. The Trojans will begin to pick up their schedule after a short break, their next meet will be on their home course at the Pleasantville Golf and Country Club next Monday which includes a large amount of Pride of Iowa Conference Teams.
