Looking to stay perfect in district play, the Pleasantville Trojans came out strong against the Knights of Woodward Academy last night in a 39-0 win.
The Trojan rushing attack was once again on point scoring six touchdowns lead by Sawyer Phillips gaining over 100 yards in the first half with two touchdowns, joined alongside Hunter Tyree scoring a 59 yarder and punching one in from one yards, Cael Lester scoring from 26 yards out, and fullback Chris Morris also scoring from a yard out. The Trojan defense would be on point, allowing the Knights in the red zone only one time the entire game. Pleasantville Head Coach Gabe Bakker told KNIA/KRLS Sports that his team is at his best when they can rush the ball as successfully as they did last night. Pleasantville improves to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the district, and next Friday will bring Homecoming to Pleasantville as they take on the Raiders from Mount Ayr.
