The PCM Mustangs will have a week off before running on their home course at the Gateway Golf Course in Monroe.
The Mustangs are coming off an impressive showing at the Lynnville Invitational, where Senior Chris Ellens ran an impressive race at a very difficult course running a 17:29 after a 19:12 a year ago cutting 1 minute and 43 seconds off his time from a year ago. The 21st ranked runner in Class 2A out ran the 6th and 19th ranked runners from Class 1A to win the invitational. With the impressive showings week in and week out from Ellens, Head Coach Eric Karr is just like the rest of the Mustang fans, just enjoying the show the Senior runner is putting on in his final season for the Mustangs. “It’s so much fun to watch him, knowing that he has worked so hard to improve each year” says Karr. September 20th the next individual runner rankings will be released and with the impressive showing from Ellens all season it’s just a matter of time before he moves up on the Class 2A list. Ellens and he Mustangs will run again Thursday September 22nd at home at the Gateway Golf Course in Monroe and they will be joined by other local area schools such as Pleasantville, Pella Christian and Twin Cedars.
