David Kacmarynski had something to do with the first seven of the nine total touchdowns scored by Pella Christian last night in their 62 – 0 blowout of Albia in their final non-district football tune-up of the season. The Eagles’ longest drive was their first, as they went 53 yards in six plays, capped off by a two-yard quarterback keeper by the senior Kacmarynski. David added another rushing touchdown and five scores through the air, three of them to Levi Jungling, who finished with four catches for 121 yards. Kacmarynski went 9-for-13 passing for 243 yards, and Sam Fredrickson out-gained the Blue Demons for the game by himself in the running-clock second half with 78 yards on ten carries. Coach Rich Kacmarynski says simply that his team did a lot of things right yesterday. PC ran 53 plays and gained 541 yards and held Albia to just 45 total yards for the contest. The Eagles improve to 2 – 0 on the season, and they’ll begin district play next Friday night against a friendly foe: Des Moines Christian at their brand new stadium for Week 3.
