The Pleasantville Trojan Volleyball team got back to action on Monday after a quick turnaround from Saturday that saw the Trojans win their first game of the year.
Fresh off the first win Coach Jennifer Douma”s squad was on the road Monday as they Trojans headed down to Truro Iowa for a three-way battle against the Road Runners of Interstate 35 and Raiders from Mount Ayr. Even with the momentum from a strong showing and a win on Saturday the Trojans would fall in straight sets to Mount Ayr and then fall to Interstate 35 7-25 and 9-25. Even with the disappointing turnaround from their first win on Saturday the Trojans have shown improvement on the short season so far and look to keep building off their success from Saturday as the season moves forward. The good news for the Trojans, after such a quick turnaround from Saturday to Monday the Trojans will not be back in action till September 20th when they travel down to Central Decatur to take on the Cardinals. With the layoff till their next match a week away the Trojans and first year Head Coach Jennifer Douma will have a chance to get her squad some rest and then get back after it in practice to improve and shoot for that second win of the season.
