A portrait of Iowa Civil War Governor and Knoxville native William Milo Stone, and a chair he made, are on temporary exhibit at the Knoxville Public Library.

Librarian Roslin Thompson says the library is honored to host the prestigious pieces, which are regularly displayed at the state capitol. She says it important to honor Knoxville’s past and educate people about this famous son of the city. The portrait and chair, accompanied by background information about the Governor, will be near the library entrance until March.
