The 7th ranked PCM Mustang football team has been dominating almost all year long.

One of the main strengths of the team has been the shut down defense. Led by Seniors James Snodgrass and Ethan Thomas the defense has shut down opposing teams to an average of just over eight points per game. One Senior on the Defense that doesn’t get a lot of attention has been the anchor of this defense all year long. Senior Clayton Welch who isn’t listed as a starter is 4th on the team in total tackles with 27, 4th on the team in solo tackles at 16 but first on the team in solo sacks at 5. A Senior who played his last regular season home game last week led the team in tackle assists at 4, had one tackle for loss and even had one rushing attempt on offense. Welch who doesn’t get his name called a lot on Friday nights is the hidden gem of the PCM defense and could play a major roll for the Mustangs as they try to advance in the Class 2A playoff bracket.
