Knoxville went 1-4 while Pella Christian went 2-2 at the Panthers Volleyball Invitational yesterday. Knoxville found itself oh-and-three after pool play falling to Iowa Falls, Perry, and Pella Christian while the Eagles were 2-1 beating the Panthers, and Perry and losing to Iowa Falls. Knoxville went to the consolation round where Albia became the Panthers lone victim of the day, before Perry ended Knoxville’s day in the finals of the consolation round. Meanwhile Pella Christian advanced to the championship round losing to eventual Invitational champion Laport City Union. Bekah Horstman had 36 kills on the day for the Eagles while Kayla Moats lead Knoxville with 33 put aways. Knoxville will serve up the 4A regional on Wednesday at home against Carlisle while Pella Christian will start regional play on October 24th.
