The Knoxville Optimist’s Club held a special Trick or Treating event Saturday.

Treats in the Trunk allowed children to get candy from Knoxville city employees and organizations and show off their costumes in the city parking lot by the fire station. Police Chief Dan Losada tells KNIA/KRLS News was the most well attended in the history of the annual celebration, bringing about three times the usual amount of children and their families. The optimists, firefighters, police officers, library city, city staff and the KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio helped distribute candy.
