The Knoxville Police Department will present a program on internet safety for parents.

Lieutenant Aaron Fuller and Officer Kyle Keller say there are many threats to children online and as a parent it can be difficult to stay on top of changing technology. Keller emphasizes the importance of a relationship built on trust and open communication. Trust and respect between parents and children makes it clear that parents have the child’s best interests in mind when they approach them about their use of technology. The presentation, which will give parents information on ways to talk to their children about internet safety and help protect them from threats, will be held at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 10.
