The Knoxville School Board met in regular session last night.

They previewed preliminary enrollment information. Superintendent Cassi Pearson says enrollment is down 32 students due to the graduation of a larger than average senior class. Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News the district had expected a greater drop in enrollment, so they are pleased with the number. The drop means the school will have about $210,000 less in the budget. Enrollment will not be officially certified until November. She says many options are being considered to raise future enrollment numbers. They also approved the hiring of a 9th grade boys basketball coach and a Varsity Baseball Coach. They concluded the meeting with a tour of elementary school buildings.
