The Pella High football team heads to Nevada tonight looking to wrap up a fourth consecutive undefeated regular season.

The Cubs are 3-5 this year and 2-4 in district play, so second-ranked Pella comes in heavily favored. They’ve already clinched the class 3-A district six championship and their tenth consecutive playoff berth, and Coach Jay McKinstrey has his sights set on that perfect regular season record.

“I asked around and I don’t think that’s ever been done four times (in a row at Pella). That’s pretty neat and hopefully that’s motivation for our kids going into the playoffs – wanting to finish well and keep it going. That’s what we’ve talked about is how to finish and we really want to do that well in the regular season.”

Tonight’s game kicks off at 7:30 in Nevada. Trevor Castle and Randy Sikkema will call the action live on 92.1 KRLS, beginning with pregame coverage at 7:00.
