The Marion County Humane Society is having a 30th Anniversary party today.

The event commemorates three decades of the organization caring for neglected and homeless Marion County animals, according to Tami Montgomery, one of the founders of the organization. The party will feature gourmet hotdogs, a reunion of adopted animals, 30% off new adoptions, tours of the facility and contests for animals and their owners. Montgomery says the event all animal lovers can find something to enjoy at the event. She hopes to see more than a few visitors go home with a new furry friend. The anniversary festivities will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
