Riley Gray threw for three touchdowns and ran in two more as the Central College football team downed Nebraska Wesleyan 43-17 Saturday afternoon in Lincoln, Nebraska.

In a game heard live on 92.1 KRLS, the Dutch racked up 587 yards of offense, with Gray throwing for 343 and running for 48 more. He hit Kyle Gritsch on a pair of first-half touchdown passes and added a third-quarter strike to Sam Markham.

Nathan Fitzgerald plowed his way for 158 rushing yards on 24 carries, including an 11-yard touchdown. Markham caught 10 balls for 103 yards, giving him 71 grabs on the season, breaking the school record he set last year.

The win snaps Central’s two-game losing streak, and improves their record to 5-2. They’re 3-2 in the Iowa Conference. Up next is a home game next Saturday against Wartburg.
