The women’s golf team is in second place after the first two rounds of the Iowa Conference meet in Cedar Falls. The Dutch are at 647 as a team, 19 strokes behind Wartburg with two rounds to go next weekend.

Lauryn Kramer’s goal with just 18 seconds remaining extended the women’s soccer team’s winning streak to eight games with a 1-0 victory over Coe on Friday. The men trounced the Kohawks 5-0 behind a pair of first half goals from Miguel Pina. On Sunday, the women played a non-conference game against Cornell, beating the Rams 3-0 to make it eight in a row.

The volleyball team made it five in a row with a pair of Iowa Conference victories. After rallying to defeat Loras 3-2 on Friday, the Dutch beat preseason league favorite Dubuque 3-1 Saturday to improve to 3-1 in league play and 9-8 overall.

Women’s tennis dropped a disheartening 5-4 decision to Dubuque in the first of two matches Saturday in Pella, then bounced back with a 6-3 win over Loras in the nightcap. On Sunday, the Dutch wrapped up the regular season with a loss to league champion Luther, 8-1.

At the Running of the Cows Invitational, hosted by Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota on Saturday – the Central men finished sixth out of 14 teams and the women took 11th out of 15 teams. Mark Fairley won the men’s race, topping a 244-runner field. Teammate Isaac Steffensmeier was third.
