Before the game Saturday afternoon, Simpson Football Head Coach Matt Jeter told his team that an entirely new season had started for their last four games of the season, and the Storm responded with a 30-0 blowout win over Loras.

On a two game losing streak, and desperate for some consistency, the Storm played their most complete game of the season yet against the winless Duhawks. The Storm offense would strike first, riding their senior running back Jordan Beem down the field and punching it in from 7 yards out, but they would not stop there. Quarterback Caleb Frye would toss three touchdown passes total, but it was the defense and special teams that were the story of the day. The defense posted its first shutout since 2012, and the punting team from Simpson was especially on point, averaging over 52 yards per punt to win the field position battle.

The Storm improve to 3-4 on the season and 2-3 in Iowa Conference play, and will next suit up this Saturday at home against Nebraska Wesleyan.
