After placing first in the Heart of Iowa Conference Meet, senior runner Chris Ellens for the PCM Cross Country squad will look to put his mark on one final meet before heading to their district qualifying site at Pella next Thursday tomorrow at Saydel High School.

Ellens completed his goal of finishing under 17:00 by a full 20 seconds, and the team as a whole finished eighth. Not to be outdone, the PCM Girls squad finished fourth at the conference meet with their trio of sophomores Payton Schut, Megan Townley, Kirsten Ives all putting in great performances, and have their chance for one last warmup in the regular season. The Mustangs will be joined by HoI Conference opponents Saydel, Greene County, Nevada, and North Polk among a host of other schools. The action starts at 5pm at Saydel High School this afternoon.
