With the qualifying of second year in a row by Senior Chris Ellens for the state cross country meet and strong finishes all year from key underclassmen the PCM cross country team seems to be trending in the right direction.

With five girls finishing in the top 50 at the state qualifying meet and with the sophomore three head monster of Kirstin Ives, Megan Townley and Payton Schutt all finishing in the top 30 the PCM girls look to be a force to be reckoned with in 2017. As far as the boys side of the Mustangs, the questions leading into the 2017 season will be who will replace the Senior stand out Chris Ellens? With a 65th placed finish from Freshmen Jason Stafford at the state qualifying meet, the Freshmen will look to pick up the slack for next season as he enters his Sophomore year with more expectations facing him in 2017. Either way you slice it the PCM Mustang cross country team seems to be trending in the right direction and could be a powerful unit in the years to come.
