The Pella Little Dutch and PCM Mustangs both took to the Norwalk Invitational on Monday along with; Carlisle, Cedar Rapids Xavier, Winterset, Bondurant – Farrar, Ballard, Newton and host school Norwalk.

On the Boys side of things Pella would go on to win the Invitational with five runners finishing in the top 15 lead by Senior Nick Bernhagen at 3rd with a time of 17:20.6. The PCM Mustangs who were the only 2A school at the meet would finish 8th as a team for the boys ahead of host school Norwalk who finished 9th. The Mustangs were led by Senior Chris Ellens who finished 2nd with a time of 17:00.4. The Pella Little Dutch girls would take 1st as a team on the girl’s side of things to complete the sweep for the Little Dutch on both boys and girl’s sides of the Norwalk invitational. Seniors Kelcey Blommers and Ciara Buchheit along with Sophomore Mikayla Kruse would finish 4th, 5th, and 6th for Pella to lead the Little Dutch. The PCM Mustang girls would finish 5th as a team ahead of 4A Newton at 6th. Leading the Mustangs was the Sophomore threesome of Payton Schut 19th, Kirstin Ives 20th and Megan Townley 27th. Next up for the Pella Little Dutch a conference meet at Indianola on October 10th. The PCM Mustangs will run next also on October 10th at a conference meet at Saydel High School.
