It wasn’t supposed to be that easy, but in the end, Pleasantville fell to the same fate as every other Pella Christian football opponent this season, and the Eagles rolled to a 56-20 victory.

Pella Christian scored on all eight of its first half drives, building a 56-6 lead. David Kacmarynski was 15-of-17 for 292 yards and four touchdowns, and ran for 75 yards and a score on seven carries – all in the first half.

Head Coach Rich Kacmarynski was very happy with his team’s offensive execution against a Pleasantville defense that had pitched two consecutive shutouts and was only allowing seven points per game coming in.

“You go in to every game and you think ‘if you do this right and do this right you can get on a roll’, but I thought David was particularly sharp at quarterback – he was dropping some dimes today. I think that our offensive line has really continued to grow and develop, and I really think that we controlled the line of scrimmage.”

Levi Jungling caught seven passes for 179 and a touchdown, and he added five rushes for 58 yards and a score.

For Pleasantville, Hunter Tyree caught seven balls for 141 yards, with touchdown catches of 62 and 59 yards.

The Eagles are 7-0 on the season and 5-0 in district play and will travel to Central Decatur next Friday night. The Trojans drop to 6-1 and 4-1 and are at Woodward-Granger.
