Having had this game circled since the schedule came out, the Pleasantville Trojans wanted revenge from last year’s 24-14 defeat to the Mount Ayr Raiders, and Pleasantville got it in a big way with a 40-0 shutout win.

Celebrating homecoming, the Trojans came out firing getting the scoring started with a Hunter Tyree punt return touchdown for his first of five total touchdowns, and the Trojan defense was absolutely dominant.Tyree would end up with two rushing touchdowns, and one each receiving, punt return and kick return touchdowns to be the main difference in the game, and the Trojans also got a rushing touchdown from Sawyer Phillips.

The aforementioned defense for Pleasantville would allow just one foray into the red zone for the Raiders, where they quickly forced a turnover on downs. Pleasantville Head Coach Gabe Bakker said that after his team falling to Mount Ayr the last two seasons, this win felt pretty special. The Trojans improve to 4-0 in district play and 6-0 overall, and now set up a potential district championship game at Pella Christian next Friday.
