While it wasn’t the way the Pleasantville Trojans imagined their last regular season game, but they still came up with a victory over the Cardinals of Central Decatur 28-14. The Trojans, other than the blemish from the Pella Christian Eagles, have been blowing out district opponents but struggled to find their offense.

Hunter Tyree returned a punt for a touchdown for the only score of the first half, and he would not be done for the night as he also contribued a 65 yard touchdown run to put the game away. Chris Morris and Cael Lester both got into the endzone in the third quarter to round out the scoring for the Trojans.

Head Coach Gabe Bakker said that the slow start was due more to the Cardinals controlling the clock, rather than his team being lethargic. The Trojans end their regular season at 8-1, and will await their playoff opponent to be announced this morning at 10am.
