Pella and Carlisle meet tonight at Pella High School in the semifinals of the class 4-A regional volleyball tournament.

It’s the tournament opener for the number one ranked Lady Dutch, as they received a first round bye. Carlisle knocked off Knoxville last week in the opening round.

Pella Coach Catie Brand was at that match, and the Lady Dutch also saw the Wildcats on the other side of the net earlier this month.

“We saw that Carlisle had a lot of offense out of their middle. They have a freshman who’s really tall and so she’s somebody that you have to be really aware of. We played them at the Newton Tournament, and so that’s good to know how we match up already.”

Pella won that match 2-0. In fact, they’ve won 25 straight matches and enter the postseason at 34-4 overall. Carlisle is 16-14.

First serve tonight between the Lady Dutch and the Wildcats is at 7:00 at Pella High School.
