The Pleasantville Trojans took care of business Friday night as the Trojans would handle the Hawks from Woodward-Granger 46-14 in Woodward.

The Trojans would come in to the game Friday night after a difficult loss to Pella Christian the week before. It would take an early touchdown from Woodward-Granger to wake up the Pleasantville Trojan team from their first loss hangover. After both teams had issue converting on their extra point attempts it was just 12-6 early in the first quarter. The Hawks would add another touchdown after a fumble from the Trojans and the Trojans would trail the hawks 14-12 in the second quarter. That last touchdown by the Hawks would be their last of the night as Junior Gauge Van Haalen of the Trojans would take over on both offense and defense scoring three touchdowns on offense all on long pass plays and one on defense on a 70 yard interception return for a touchdown. The Trojans will now take on Central Decatur next Friday night at home for senior night and their last regular season game. Head Coach Gabe Bakker knows his squad will be ready to go next week. The Trojans now runners up in Class 1A District 5 will be playing in post season football again this season and will await their fate following their senior night game next week.
