An undefeated season, district championship, and a home game in next week’s first round of the playoffs are what is at stake for the Twin Cedars Football Squad tonight. For all of that to happen, the Sabers must beat likely their toughest opponent to date, The H-L-V Warriors. Coach Aaron Allspach tells KNIA/KRLS tonight will be far different from any opponent that they have faced all season. Win or lose the Sabers and H-L-V are in the eight-man playoffs, the winner will get a home game next Friday and the number one seed while the loser will have to in all likelihood go on the road for the first round of the playoffs. Meanwhile, if we were using last season’s playoff format, Melcher-Dallas and Moravia would be playing for the fourth spot in the playoffs. But, since were are not, the two teams are just playing for fourth place. That said, the Saints could clinch a winning season with a victory, a huge improvement from last season’s 1-9 year.
