In their quest for a move towards the top of the Iowa Conference standings, the Central College wrestling team took a big step forward last night.

The 10th-ranked Dutch beat #12 Coe 20-12 in front of the home crowd inside of Kuyper Gynmasium.

It’s the first time since 2000 that Central has defeated the Kohawks. And it’s a big early season win, as the Dutch finished one spot behind Coe in last season’s IIAC standings.

The Dutch are 1-0 in dual action to start the season.
