Luther scored just over two minutes in, and Central College’s women’s soccer team couldn’t recover, dropping a 2-0 decision in the Iowa Conference semifinals last night in Decorah.

The Norse outshot Central 16-10, and put 11 shots on goal, compared to just four for the Dutch. A goal in the 60th minute iced the match.

Central drops to 15-4-1 overall. Ranked ninth in the latest regional rankings, the Dutch have an outside chance at an at-large berth to the NCAA Division III tournament. If they’re not selected, last night’s match is the final contest for Central this season.
