The dust has settled on an incredible football quarterfinal showdown between Pella Christian and Regina, which marked the end of a spectacular 2016 season for the Eagles and the careers of the most dynamic passing duo in state history.

Levi Jungling, in typical fashion, shattered the career receiving yardage record set by Grant McGraw of Pleasantville in his last game as a high school football player. The mark is now set at 3818 yards. Jungling also has the single-season mark of 1602 set last season. He finished tied for 2nd in touchdown receptions at 46 with McGraw as well.

The young man who threw the passes for those yards and scores also etched his name in Top 10 of state career leaderboards David Kacmarynski finished 6th all time in both the passing + rushing yards category at 8934 and in passing touchdowns with 83.

Head Coach Rich Kacmarynski says the two have left a lasting legacy of success at the school and in the state history.

No. 2 Pella Christian finished their season at 10-1, falling to No. 1 Regina in an instant-classic last Friday night.
