After a blowout loss to the Pella Christian Eagles in the Pleasantville Trojan Boys Basketball Programs only playoff game last year, Head Coach Joel Allman said that one area that his team needs to emulate from the Eagles is shooting from outside the three point line.

The squad returns just one sharpshooter from last season in leading scorer Brady Elder, who shot 34% from beyond the arc, but will have to look towards some new faces if they want to meet the goal set for them. Senior guard Brandon Gibson and junior guards Owen Worthington and Gauge Van Haalen were all contributors on last years squad, but shot only a combined 5/43.

Allman told KNIA/KRLS Sports that he saw the guys work at it during the offseason, but it will still take some more practice if they want to get where they think they can be. The Trojans will get their season started tomorrow evening at Melcher-Dallas.
