The Knoxville Girls Cross Country Squad will have no seniors on the team next fall and only lost one senior this year. Coach Michael Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Lucy Olson will be missed for her leadership and has high hopes for his team next year. He says he will look to three juniors that have been with the program for a couple of seasons to help guide the underclassmen through the season. Mickayla McGill, Bree Burton, and Emery Neer were the top three runners for most of the season. Splavec adds a good group of freshmen to be will also fill out a growing girls program at Knoxville.
