1-8 was not what the Knoxville Football Squad was hoping for this season. A season-opening win over Chariton was followed by an eight game losing streak to finish out the season. While it was disappointing to see how the season turned out, Coach Eric Kellar tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he was proud of how the guys stayed with it each game. It was just a fact that the Panthers were out-matched in most games. Kellar adds the J-V and freshmen teams have some good athletes that could challenge for some varsity roles next season. He says the guys just have to get back and get going on off-season training and he also encourages the players to play other sports like basketball, wrestling, track and field or baseball to stay in shape.
