The PCM Mustang girls basketball team got its first real action Monday in an exhibition jamboree at Lynville Sully.

The Mustangs would take on the Colfax-Mingo Tiger Hawks and cruise to an easy 43-15 win in the exhibition battle. The Mustangs coming off a 13-10 season a year ago have all five starters returning and look to be a team to deal with in 2016. Seniors Kayla Jennings, Katie Vanderwall and Jayci Vos are all returning this year and were the top three scorers for the Mustangs a year ago averaging 27 points combined in 2015. Head Coach Jeff Linday’s squad will have state tournament dreams in this 2016-2017 season lead by 9 returning Seniors, leadership should be easy to come by this season. The Mustangs will get their season started this Saturday as they take on the Knoxville Panthers at home.
