The PCM Mustangs girls’ and boys’ basketball teams collected a pair of big wins Tuesday night.

The Mustang girls started things off with another dominating performance to go with their first two games of the year as the Mustangs would dominate the Norsemen 52-30. Leading the way for the Mustangs again on the hardwood was Seniors Katie Vande Wall with 17, Kaylee Townsend with 11 and Rachel Stafford with 10. The Mustangs came out of the blocks quick against the Norsemen racing to a 28-7 lead at halftime and never looking back as they cruise to an easy win and are now 3-0 on the young season. The PCM boys got their first action of the year Tuesday night as they also took on the Roland Story Norsemen and would take care of the Norsemen 59-49 inside the PCM high school gym. Leading the way for the Mustangs was Junior Jackson Thomas with a career high 20 points. After losing Senior stand out Logan Gillman to graduation, a lot of focus was on who would step up to lead the Mustangs on the hardwood in 2016. With the career high 20 points on Tuesday night, Thomas has put himself at the front runner to be the leader of this Mustang squad moving forward.
