The PCM Mustangs will take on the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines this Friday in Monroe.

The quarterfinal game will feature one of the premiere running attacks in Class 2A versus on of the top rush defenses. The Wolverines of Dike-New Hartford are averaging 313 rushing yards per game behind Senior stand out Trent Johnson who has 2,433 rushing yards on the season behind 275 carries. Johnson comes into Fridays game as the Iowa high school football career rushing record holder after rushing for 427 yards in the first round of the playoffs against Southeast Valley. Johnson now has a total of 7,158 yards for his career and the new career record mark. The stud Wolverine running back will take on a PCM defense that has been stout all year against the run not allowing any team to rush for over 128 yards all year. The PCM defense has only allowed opposing teams an average of 86.6 yards per game all season. The Mustangs have faced a majority of run heavy offenses all season and coming off a game last week against the Roland Story Norsemen that only mustered 21 rushing yards the Mustangs look primed to try to contain the Wolverine rushing attack.
