After opening the season Saturday with an upset victory over fifth-ranked Ballard, the Pella Christian girls basketball team will look to make it two in a row tonight at Montezuma.

Coach Kevin Van Maanen only has nine players on the varsity squad, and he’s counting on his two seniors, Cailey Terpstra and Brooke Mitrisin, to lead the way.

“They’ve been on varsity for quite a few years and have the most experience on the varsity squad. So I’ll be looking to them to lead our young group. They’re our captains this year and I think they’re going to do an excellent job for us.”

Tonight’s game between Pella Christian and Montezuma starts at 7:30 at Montezuma High School.
