For the third straight season, the Pella Little Dutch are heading to the UNI Dome.
No. 2 Pella defeated No. 5 Solon 28-14 in a game heard live on KNIA.
The Dutch D bullied the Spartans, and held them to just eight yards in the first half.
Head Coach Jay McKinstrey tells KNIA/KRLS Sports while the offense was gaining their footing against a tough Solon defense, it was the Pella defensive unit that set the tone.
Nick Finney threw for over 300 yards, and Ryan Van Wyk had eight catches, 156 yards, and two scores. However, Pella only gained 30 yards on the ground.
The win over Solon gives the Dutch 39 in a row, and will make the trip to Cedar Falls for the third straight season. They take on Cedar Rapids Xavier in the state semifinals Thursday at 8:21 p.m. in the UNI Dome.
