A boost in enrollment means the Pella School District should have extra spending power in the upcoming fiscal year.

Superintendent Greg Ebeling says a somewhat surprising influx of students allowed the district to ask for additional authority in their fiscal year 2018 budget. Ebeling says the $112,000 increase the Pella School Board applied for will help provide a bit more flexibility in financial decisions.
