Pella placed six players on the 2016 INA Class 3-A All-State football team, led by Nick Finney, who was named the captain.

Finney is joined on the first team by Donovan Holterhaus, Ryan Van Wyk and Lucas Warner, while Ross Vande Weerd and Keegan Poole were named to the second team.

Overall, Pella led 3-A in total offense with 5,167 yards. Finney accounted for 2,748 yards passing and threw 32 touchdowns. He was also a threat on the ground with 1,280 yards rushing to lead the team as well with 16 more scores.

Holterhaus caught 74 passes for 1,221 yards and 16 touchdowns, and Van Wyk added 49 catches for 911 yards and eight scores.

Warner was Pella’s top tackler with 73, while Poole had 12 tackles for loss and six sacks. Vande Weerd was the anchor of the Dutch offensive line.
