Three Pleasantville Trojan wrestlers who competed in the state tournament in 2015 will enter the 2016-17 season ranked by IAwrestle.com.

Senior 152lb wrestler Griffen McBride, who is coming off a seventh place finish at 145lbs, is ranked fifth in the state. For the bigger guys on the Trojans, junior grappler Chaz Clark is ranked seventh in the 220lb bracket. Clark is coming off a first round win at state, but then fell in his next two matches to be eliminated, and he will be joined in the rankings by senior heavyweight Will Anthony who is ranked fifth. Anthony also placed seventh at the state tournament last year.

State wrestler Sawyer Phillips starts the wrestling season with an injury, Phillips was the fourth place finisher at the state tournament last year 152lbs.
