The Simpson Storm Football Squad knew it would be facing a tough team in their season finale, and the Kohawks of Coe College did not disappoint as they put up 49 points giving up only 24 to the host Storm.

Simpson stayed within two scores at halftime trailing 26-15, but three straight touchdowns would put the game out of reach. Silver linings for the Storm, senior running back Jordan Beem, who needed 149 yards to get to 3,000 rushing yards for his career, would rush for a career high 227 yards to pass the milestone, just the fifth person in school history to do so. Beem ends his career at Simpson at fifth in school history in rushing and fourth in all-purpose yards. The Storm end the season with a 3-7 record, and 2-6 in the Iowa Conference.
