The motto for the Twin Cedars Football Squad all season has been one game at a time, even against the teams the Sabers beat easily. This week is no different for the Sabers, but one thing that is hanging out there for Twin Cedars is a trip to the eight-man semi-finals in the UNI-Dome. Coach Aaron Allspach tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they have mentioned that possibility while still staying focused on this week’s quarterfinal opponent Midland. The Sabers qualified for the eight-man semis back in 2002 with the Sabers losing to Farragut. Back then, only the state championship in eight-man was held in Cedar Falls. A win Friday would earn Twin Cedars its second ever semi-final appearance and first trip to the dome.
