This Sunday’s Bowl of the Stars will feature eight members of the Central College football squad in Mexicali, Mexico.

Quarterback Riley Gray, wide receiver Zack Martinelli, tight end Mitchell Boerm, offensive linemen Kyle Pepper and Cole Tanner, kicker Aaron Marcellus, linebacker Jessie Peterson and defensive back Zach Matter will represent the Dutch.

The Bowl of the Stars is an all-star game hosted by Global Football, and it pits Team Stars and Stripes against all-stars chosen from a national conference of Mexican private colleges.

Former Dutch defensive coordinator Don De Waard is the head coach for Team Stars and Stripes and Central athletic training education program director John Roslien serves as the player personnel director.

Dutch head athletic trainer Frank Neu (new) serves in that role for the team and Central senior athletic training students Kylie Bradley, Brett Boddicker, Julia Evans and Ben Ewing have also made the trip to Mexico.
