You can give your school aged daughter the gift of Hall of Fame coaching this holiday season, as Central College will conduct five softball clinics this winter.

Three are offered on Saturday, January 28th. A youth skills clinic for players in grades 1-4 will be conducted from nine to noon, with instruction in hitting, base running, short game and infield/outfield play.

During that same time, a unique mental skills training clinic will be conducted for players in grades 9-12, utilizing a classroom setting to provide instruction on maintaining focus and confidence, handling a slump and playing in pressure situations. A high school skills clinic will then be held from one to four.

Two additional skills clinics are offered on Saturday, February 4th – a junior high clinic for players in grades 5-8 is set for nine to noon, with a high school clinic from one to four for players in grades 9-12.

The clinics will be staged in the Kuyper Fieldhouse and will be led by Hall of Fame Coach George Wares, associate head coach Alicia O’Brien and pitching coach Gary Grimes, along with Central players and other staff members.

A registration form for all clinics is available on the Central website at by clicking here.
