The Central College women’s golf team is ranked sixth in the Midwest Region in the newest NCAA Division III regional rankings.

It’s the first appearance in the regional rankings for the program since the arrival of Coach Tim Wilkinson in 2010.

In the fall season, Central won the Iowa Conference Championships for the first time in 26 years. The Dutch came back from 19 strokes down heading into the final weekend to knock off the host school and defending champion Wartburg.

The IIAC title has qualified Central for the national tournament next May in Houston, Texas at Bay Oaks Country Club.
