The Central College men weren’t able to dig themselves out of a deep hole yesterday in a 79-68 loss to 16th-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater.

It was the second loss in two days for the Dutch against a WIAC school.

In this one, Central trailed by 11 at the break, saw their deficit grow to 22 before clawing within 10. They’d get no closer.

Senior forward Colby Taylor scored 21 points and snagged 7 rebounds for the Dutch, and junior guard Treyshawn Boyd added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

Central drops to 7-4 on the season and they’ll get back at it with Iowa Conference action next Wednesday at home against Luther as part of a women’s – men’s doubleheader.
